The GDR launches one of the largest manhunts in its history\u2014without success. A week later, another baby turns up: bound, with medical scars, and responsive to the Russian language. Investigators, the Stasi, and the family suspect that Felix was \u201cswapped\u201d for another child\u2014a serious suspicion with political consequences.<\/p>\n<p>Almost forty years later, an extraordinary search for clues begins. The three-part documentary series accompanies the family on their emotional and investigative journey through archives, secret service files, and international connections. In a year and a half of extensive research \u2013 supported by funding from nordmedia and the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg \u2013 the case was reopened.<\/p>\n<p>With state-of-the-art AI-supported forensics, international DNA databases, and cold case expertise, a family full of hope embarks on a search for their son \u2013 also in cooperation with Charit\u00e9 Berlin and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).
