Legal basis for processing personal data

In accordance with Art. 13 DSGVO, we will inform you of the legal basis for our data processing. If the legal basis is not specified in the data protection notice, the following applies:

The legal basis for obtaining consent is Article 6 para. 1 lit. a i.V.m. Art. 7 DSGVO. The legal basis for processing to fulfill our services and carry out contractual measures, as well as answering inquiries, is Article 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO. The legal basis for processing to fulfill our legal obligations is Article 6 Paragraph. 1 lit. c DSGVO. If the processing of your data is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f DSGVO as the legal basis for processing. In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d DSGVO as the legal basis.

Data deletion and storage period

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or for as long as is required by the retention periods stipulated by law. After the respective purpose no longer applies or after these retention periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with legal regulations.

Note on data transfer to third countries

We have also integrated tools from companies based in third countries (including the USA) on our website. If these tools are active, your personal data may be forwarded to the servers of the respective companies. The level of data protection in third countries generally does not correspond to EU data protection law. Provision of the website (web host)

Applicant pool

If no employment relationship is established, the applicant can be included in our applicant pool. All application details are stored so that the person in question can be contacted for suitable vacancies.

Data is only stored in the applicant pool after consent has been given on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 a DSGVO. This consent can be revoked at any time, whereupon the corresponding data will be deleted, provided there are no legal reasons for storage. The data will be deleted no later than two years after consent has been granted. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to the revocation.

Matomo – Our chatbot on the website uses the analysis tool Matomo (formerly Piwik). Matomo is used to analyze the use of the chatbot. For this purpose, the usage information, e.g. the questions you enter or keywords you search for (including your shortened IP address) are stored for analysis purposes, which serves to optimize the chatbot, and if we see that other terms are searched for, we can expand the range of relevant information. Your IP address is shortened during this process and anonymized so that it is not clear to us who has made a request.
