New solution for the varvis®API – the varvis-connector
The increasing complexity of genetic analyses requires powerful digital processes and the efficient processing of large volumes of data. Labor Berlin develops its own software solutions in the fields of bioinformatics and data science to support modern diagnostic workflows.
With the varvis-connector, Labor Berlin provides an GPLv3 open-source solution that supports the integration and use of the varvis® analysis platform in human genetic diagnostics. varvis® is a platform developed by Limbus Medical Technologies for the analysis, interpretation and management of genomic data.
What is the varvis-connector?
The varvis-connector is a Python-based software package designed to interface with the varvis® API. The solution supports the automated processing and integration of genomic data into diagnostic workflows.
The package includes:
- an application programming interface (API)
- a command-line interface (CLI)
- data validation and error handling
- functions for processing genetic analysis and quality data.
Licensing
The varvis-connector is made publicly available as open-source software.
For commercial licensing, please contact Labor Berlin IP & Technology Management.
The software is available via GitHub and PyPI and can be used by developers, research institutions and diagnostic laboratories.
Bioinformatics and Data Science at Labor Berlin
The varvis-connector was developed by the Bioinformatics and Data Science department at Labor Berlin.
The department supports modern diagnostic procedures through:
- Data integration
- Process automation
- Bioinformatic analyses
- Digital workflow development
- Data science analyses
The aim is the continuous development of efficient, high-quality diagnostic processes.
