Sustainability Report 2022

Dear Readers,

It is with great pleasure that we present Labor Berlin’s first sustainability report.

We would like to give you an insight into our efforts and progress in terms of sustainability at Labor Berlin.

As the largest hospital laboratory in Europe, we see it as our responsibility not only to provide excellent diagnostic services and supply our patients with cutting-edge diagnostic medicine, but also to create an attractive working environment for our employees in particular. Furthermore, it is important to us to make a positive contribution with regard to social challenges and the preservation of our environment. Our aim is to harmonize ecological, social and economic aspects. We are firmly convinced that sustainability is not just a trend, but a basic prerequisite for long-term success.

We invite you to read the sustainability report carefully and be inspired by our goals and measures – because a sustainable future is only possible together.

About this report

Labor Berlin is reporting on its sustainable activities for the first time in this sustainability report. The report was prepared in accordance with the framework of the German Sustainability Code (DNK). The Sustainability Code is managed by the office of the German Council for Sustainable Development and covers the minimum requirements for reporting on the non-financial performance of companies.

The Sustainability Report presents Labor Berlin’s activities for the 2022 financial year from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.

In principle, the figures include the activities of Labor Berlin – Charité Vivantes GmbH and Labor Berlin Services GmbH, but are not shown separately. Due to the limited availability of data, reporting in the environment section is exclusively for the central laboratory at Sylter Straße 2, 13353 Berlin.
