Smooth cooperation between the hospitals and laboratories is extremely important for the rapid and correct processing of patient samples. However, laboratory work is often not easily approachable enough for hospital staff. The Labor Berlin consignor support team addressed this issue as part of a first initiative laboratory day at the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Hubertus and the Clinic for MIC.
With the aim of strengthening cooperation between the wards and the laboratory and giving hospital staff a better understanding of laboratory work, valuable insights were provided into the important topics of pre-analytics of samples, transportation within the hospital and blood reserves using illustrative examples.
In addition to on-site laboratory tours, the donor support team was also present with an information stand to answer all open questions.
