A tour of the laboratory was organized with Labor Berlin Managing Director Fabian Raddatz, Head of Operations, Dr. Ulrich Nütz and other Labor Berlin employees to resume previous discussions. SPD Member of Parliament Demir had the opportunity to discuss the existing challenges of the recognition procedure with a directly recognized medical technologist and an MTLA in recognition. Labor Berlin once again pointed out the difficult framework conditions of the Residence Act, which are not sufficient for the one-year MTLA adaptation course. Fortunately, the first reading of the amendment to the law is expected in March, for which Labor Berlin provided anonymized examples of experience.
The still very small number of places available for those interested in the adaptation course at the Lette Verein was also discussed, as there are currently only 15 places available for the federal state of Berlin despite the very high demand.
In order to remain in contact with each other, Hakan Demir made an offer to Labor Berlin to take part in the “Migration Round Table” in the Bundestag in the future.
