As Europe’s largest hospital laboratory, we supply more than 30 clinics and more than 100 private practitioners. At our 13 locations in Berlin, we analyze over 7 million samples a year for hundreds of thousands of patients.

… in the year 2020. An average of 12 analyses are produced per order. This is an average of 72 analyses per patient.

Supply

80 percent of occupancy

As Europe’s largest hospital laboratory, we work for 30 clinics and more than 100 private practitioners. In Berlin alone, we look after 80% of all hospital beds.

Turnaround time

35 min. up to the findings

The average turnaround time for emergency orders was reduced from 90 minutes (2015) to 35 minutes (2020).

And beyond that…

  • Labor Berlin has a female quota of over 60 percent.

  • With 13 locations in Berlin, we supply Charité, Vivantes and a further 23 affiliated hospitals in Berlin.

  • Diagnostics and advice 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

  • Almost 3,000 m² of pure laboratory space in the central laboratory at Sylter Straße 2.

  • Our customer hotline receives over 40,000 calls per year.

2020 was a special year that no one will forget in a hurry. This also applies to the management of Labor Berlin. In this interview, Nina Beikert and Fabian Raddatz talk about the highs and lows that have shaped them – both professionally and privately – and how they have coped very well despite all the difficulties.
